IMPORTANT: click here if you are in need of urgent food assistance!

Hello friends and neighbors,

With rising concerns about COVID-19 we feel it’s important to keep our community updated. Our staff is closely monitoring the situation. Due to the nature of our business, we plan to stay open as long as possible to provide food and financial assistance to those in need in our community. Contingency plans have been made in the event we need to minimize physical contact during food distribution or in case staff need to work remotely.

The health and safety of our staff, volunteers, and clients are our top priority. Our team is working diligently to maintain a safe and clean environment in our offices. Our offices are cleaned and disinfected regularly and we have placed hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes in our lobby for client use as well as in volunteer and staff common areas. We will continue to disinfect surfaces in common areas (lobby furniture, menu clipboards, handles and knobs, etc.) throughout each day. Clients will be given new writing utensils to keep at their market appointments. Staff and volunteers will continue to maintain regular hand washing and sanitizing practices. We have also temporarily removed our coffee and snack station from our lobby to prevent unnecessary risk of spreading of germs.

Any clients, volunteers, or other visitors are highly encouraged to stay home if they are feeling sick. If someone in the community is sick and in need of food assistance we will do our best to accommodate them via drive-up service or delivery. We will keep abreast of city, county, state, and federal COVID-19 procedural and protocol decisions that affect food distribution.

We do anticipate a sharp increase in needs for our services in the coming months. Donations of household and hygiene items, shelf-stable food, and financial gifts are greatly appreciated during this time. Please keep an eye on our social media for opportunities to help with these efforts.

We also want to thank our Board, partners, and community friends who are reaching out to ask how they can help and offering to partner with us in this terrible situation.  Should you have any questions or concerns please contact our office at 972-542-0020 or [email protected] and our staff will get back to you ASAP.
